Rose Hip Organic Rosa rubinginosa A very rich, natural source of essential fatty acids, containing over 35% of alpha linolenic acid or Vitamin F – a real skin food.  Latin American dermatology studies have shown Rose Hip oil to give excellent results in premature skin aging, sun damaged skin, dermatitis, acne, wound healing and on. Apricot Oil is rich in minerals, vitamins that are high in GLA (Gamma Linoleic acids that fortify cell growth)  Linolenic acid (Omega 3), oleic acid (Omega 9), vitamins and minerals and is good for all skin types, older aged skin, and aids healing with most skin conditions including inflamed skin, psoriasis, & eczema.

Sweet Almond Oil Sweet almond (prunus amygdalus dulcis) oil is obtained from dried kernels of the almond tree. It is an excellent emollient and helps the skin to balance its loss and absorption of moisture. Sweet almond oil is light, non-greasy, readily penetrating oil that is excellent for all skin types. Sweet almond oil has high amounts of vitamin A, and is a natural moisturiser that is very beneficial to dry, chapped hands and feet. It also helps to soften and condition skin. Sweet almond oil is commonly used to relieve skin itch, irritation and dryness. It is high in minerals, proteins, naturally occurring vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6 and E) and in mono and poly-unsaturated fatty acids. Sweet almond oil is easily absorbed into the skin, leaving it soft and smooth and promoting a younger-looking complexion.

Macadamia Oil Is extracted from the seeds of (macadamia integrifolia), with its origin in the subtropical rainforest of Eastern Australia; this hypoallergenic “vanishing oil” contains a high concentration of Palmitoleic Acid (the key ingredient in anti-ageing creams).  It is uniquely beneficial for sensitive and maturing skin in helping to retain its softness, resilience and youthful appearance. Macadamia nut oil is the richest botanical source of palmitoleic acid, so it replenishes the skin’s naturally occurring lipids which deplete with age.  Reputed as the best carrier oil available, macadamia nut oil’s versatile qualities make it ideal for use in skin care, mother and baby care, aromatherapy and massage.

Rosemary based antioxidant Rosemary extract, (aminox) is a potent antioxidant which helps retard cellular ageing caused by oxidation and is used in lotions. Antioxidants are helpful because these molecules ‘mop up’ oxygen and free radicals much more readily than the fatty acids in the oil and keep the vital oils in your serum from oxidizing and going rancid.

Vitamin E acetate is very stable, as it will not react with oxygen. Hence, it will last for years in cosmetic preparations. Vitamin E acetate is metabolized back to active Vitamin E once it is absorbed by cells in the epidermis.  Vitamin E acetate is an excellent moisturising and hydrating agent. It penetrates into the epidermis and serves to bind water in the skin.

Citracidal; This is a naturally derived preservative from grapefruit seeds and pulp that has been in use since the 1970’s. Citricidal works as a benign, hypoallergenic and wide-spectrum preservative to keep your serum in a “fresh” state.

Amigel is our unique gelling agent derived from the yeast Sclerotium rolfsii grown on a glucose sugar culture. Known as a polysaccharide gel (meaning “many sugars”), Amigel has the highest capacity to absorb water than any other vegetable gelling agent and will accept a large amount of additional ingredients. Amigel is totally non-toxic, non-allergenic and as gelled water, very hydrating for the skin. And since we have been asked, Amigel is perfectly fine for use by those intolerant to yeast in foods.

Emulsifying Wax is a mixture of 90% cetyl alcohol (a natural fatty alcohol – like a fatty acid – extracted from palm oil) and 10% PEG – 25 stearate. This is a naturally-derived emulsifier, again made from palm oil (not animals) that is effective but very mild on the skin. Our emulsifying wax is guaranteed to be free of any toxic by-products and is suitable for both for Kosher and Hallal use.
